why Cyvilian?..

I started Cyvilian with a very simple plan, to provided lots of information about hair! I asked myself a couple of questions. Do my customers want to be bombarded with every product on the market? Or would they prefer a few key products that really work, and be able to easily access information and solutions on specific hair and scalp problems and how to create that experience online.

Having taken a good look around the net, I have come to the conclusion that there are lots of places to buy hair and beauty products.

We only advise on Hair products! I have over 30 years experience in the Hairdressing market at the top level, both here in the UK and in the USA. If the products we sell do not match a specific problem, then we will try to point you in the right direction. We will from time to time recommend salons that can help you achieve the look you want.

We actively encourage our customers to become part of our family by emailing us with suggestions, if you have a hair problem and it isn’t covered let us know and we will try to help. I have asked our associates to provide us with as much information on their products as possible. This is so that we can keep the site current, you may not find every product you are looking for here, but you will find out an awful lot about the products we do stock! For years now the professional product manufacturers have been trying to educate the general public to use Salon products. A question I often get asked is why should I spend £8 plus on a shampoo when I can get one at the chemist for £3. That’s a great question and I suppose the easiest answer is “do you want your hair to feel the best it can feel”.

I often get told my hair feels awful, dry and damaged, and the answer is use a great shampoo and conditioner and it won’t! If you invest in a good haircut every six to eight weeks and use great hair products, then your hair will probably look superb. Also getting the right advice about which product or combination of products, sometimes you may need to change products. This could be because of a change of health or even a change of location, you would probably use a different conditioner in Miami than the one you use in London.
